LEVEL 2 ADVANCED TRAINING: The Collaborative Problem Solving Approach

Description:
STANDARD LEVEL II ADVANCED TRAINING (July 14-16):  For educators and mental health clinicians who have attended a prior Level I training (or who have attended a prior Level II training and want to stay current on model updates), this training is “the next step” in skill and knowledge enhancement.  Training on key facets of the CPS model is facilitated by extensive use of videotaped (and, when possible, live) cases and role-plays, and the training is conducted in a manner that facilitates practice of key skills.

Practice and use of the concepts, tools, and strategies taught in the Level I advanced training are crucial preparation for the Level II advanced training.  Thus, participation in both advanced trainings in the same summer is not permitted.

The Department of Psychology of Virginia Tech is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.  The Department of Psychology of Virginia Tech maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
