LEVEL 1 ADVANCED TRAINING JUNE 7-9: THIS TRAINING IS FULL-CONTACT US FOR WAIT LIST & FUTURE DATES

Description:
Dr. Greene provides advanced trainings every summer for mental health professionals and educators seeking more intensive training in the CPS model.  This summer, he’s teaming up with Transdisciplinary Workshops to offer another 3-day Level I advanced trainings July 7-9 at the beautiful Regency Hotel and Spa in the coastal harbor of Portland, Maine.
The host hotel was chosen for its outstanding workshop facilities, comfortable accommodations, and close proximity to the restaurants, cultural attractions, and recreational activities of Portland and the incredible Maine coast.  A block of rooms has been reserved for the advanced training.  We suggest contacting the Regency Hotel at 1-800-727-3436 early in order to receive the discounted room rates.  It is suggested that you call rather than book on line in order to get the rooms set aside for the event. For more information about the hotel please see: http://www.theregency.com/

The Level I advanced training provides participants with in-depth coverage of key facets of the CPS model, with coverage of and practice in specific aspects of implementation in school and clinical settings, including:

  • assessment of lagging skills and unsolved  problems using the ALSUP
  •  prioritizing unsolved problems
  • use of the Plans framework
  • the most challenging aspects of using Plan B, including “drilling for information” to clarify concerns and what to do with kids who "won't talk"
  • dealing with roadblocks commonly encountered in implementation in systems
  •  strategies for “getting people on board” and “getting over the hump”

Because participants in the Level I Advanced Training have variable levels of exposure to the CPS model, some time is devoted to reviewing and ensuring familiarity with the basic elements of the model, but the training is conducted in a manner that provides maximum opportunities for questions, interaction, discussion, and practice.  Training is facilitated by role-plays and extensive use of videotaped clinical cases.

Practice and use of the concepts, tools, and strategies taught in the Level I advanced training are crucial preparation for the Level II advanced training.  Thus, participation in both advanced trainings in the same summer is not permitted.
